Thomas Curtis was born on 5 March 1703/4 in Scituate. [1] Thomas, the husband of Ruth, died on 20 January 1757, age 53, in Scituate. [2] He is buried in the Groveland Cemetery in Scituate. [3] He married Ruth Wade on 21 August 1729 in Scituate. [4]

Ruth Wade, the daughter of Joseph, was born on 23 November 1706 in Scituate. [5] She was baptized on 24 August 1712 in Scituate [5] Ruth, the wife of Thomas, died on 14 November 1763, age 56, in Scituate. [2] She is buried in the Groveland Cemetery. [6]

Children of Thomas Curtis and Ruth Wade:

i. Thomas Curtis was born on 8 December 1729 in Scituate. [1]

ii. Jael Curtis was born on 27 June 1732 in Scituate. [1] According to the Lincoln family bible, she died on 18 October 1814 in Cohasset. [7] She married Obadiah Lincoln on 19 August 1755 in Scituate. [4] Obadiah, the son of Jacob and Mary (Holbrook) Lincoln, was born on 30 July 1731 in Scituate. [8] He was baptized on 28 October 1733 in that part of Hingham that later became Cohassett. [7] According to the family bible, he died on 15 April 1802 in Cohasset. [7]

Obadiah and Jael lived in Scituate for a while and then moved to Cohasset. [6] Jael's mother was a sister of Mrs. Isaac Lincoln. [6]

iii. Eli Curtis was born on 23 February 1733 in Scituate. He died on 26 January 1818. He married Desire Turner.

iv. Ruth Curtis was born on 28 September 1735 in Scituate. [1] She died on 7 May 1750 and is buried in the Groveland Cemetery. [9]

v. Marcy Curtis was baptized on 6 August 1738 in Scituate. [1]

vi. Simeon Curtis was born on 27 June 1739 in Scituate. [1]

vii. Abner Curtis was born on 11 September 1742 in Scituate. [1] He died on 28 August 1745, age two, in Scituate. [2]

viii. Beriah Curtis was born on 9 March 1745 in Scituate. [1]

ix. Mary Curtis was born in 1750. She died on 28 October 1752, age two years and five months. [2] She is buried in the Groveland Cemetery. [10]
